Logan's 6th Birthday

This year we decided to have Logan's birthday party at a place called Pump It Up.  It was so much fun!  The best part for me was that I didn't have to clean anything up when it was all over.  The kids had a great time and so did the adults.  Maybe I'll have my next birthday party there!  Logan invited several of his friends from church and a few from school.  He even invited some girls. He's quite the ladies' man these days!

Contraptions

What would I do without all the wonderful baby contraptions they have now?  Our newest one is the bumbo seat and it truly saves my life around dinner time.  (Thanks Grandma Weez & Papa D!) It's just nice to have a place to put the baby when I need both of my hands.  Fortunately, Claire seems to really enjoy her little entertainment centers, and I can usually buy myself a few minutes to get things done.

Rain Gutter Regatta

Last Tuesday was the Cub Scout rain gutter regatta.  Mason and Scott had a lot of fun making the boat together.  Mason didn't win, but he still had a great time.  The competition was fierce, but the kids were not as serious as they seem in the pictures.  Logan looks thrilled to be there, doesn't he?  Don't ask me why Mason was the only one not in his scout shirt.

Claire & Colton

It's amazing what six months will do!  Suz stopped by with Colton the other day and I couldn't resist snapping a few pictures.  Claire looks like a giant next to the little guy!  I still can't get over how much he looks like Nelson.  What a cutie!

Just Chillin' Before Bed

I love getting Claire all bathed up and ready for bed.  Especially when she's had her evening nap and in a really good mood.  The other night was just such a night.  I love the moments that I get to spend one-on-one with the kids.  They are so priceless and I wish I could remember them forever.

The Paint Incident

I'm still not exactly sure how this happened.  I just know that I was gone and Scott was in charge of all the kids. :)  Somehow, between juggling the kids and cleaning up the crafts, Scott managed to give Claire her first highlights.  I guess it's not the first or the last time she's had something weird in her hair.  I have a bad habit of spilling my food on her head while I'm eating.  Just last night it was jambalaya.  Poor girl.

Green Thumb?

I'm notorious around my house for letting plants die.  Each year, I have great plans for the front yard, but they never quite turn out the way I pictured.  A couple years ago, I decided to plant something that would come up every year...hopefully.  Much to my amazement, the lilies are still going strong.  I am a little confused as to why I only have red ones now.  I planted red AND yellow ones.  Oh, well.  I'll take whatever I can get.  I was feeling so hopeful this year, that I decided to plant a little garden on the deck with the boys.  It made me so happy to see how excited the boys were to help  out, and then Scott brought me right back to reality by asking each of them which plant they thought would die first.  Needless to say, I'm out to prove him wrong this time. After all, the lilies look great....why not the veggies too?  Wish me luck!

Incognito

These pictures are a little old, but I thought they were worth posting.  Scott thought he would entertain the boys one night by putting the Batman mask on Claire.  They got quite a kick out of it.  I don't think she enjoyed it quite as much as they did.  She didn't seem to mind my sunglasses though.
