Yesterday was a little rough for Scott. He had a break in his schedule and thought he'd be nice and give me a hand at home for a couple hours. When he got home, he went to look behind his car and hit his head on the shelves in the garage. Apparently he severed two arteries, and blood was all over the place. Fortunately, they were able to stitch him up at the doctor's office and he didn't have to go to the emergency room. After he got put back together, he came home, cleaned himself up, and headed back to work. Needless to say, he wasn't much help to me and the kids. I guess I'll forgive him this time. :-)

Snowboarding at Wintergreen
The kids were out of school for Presidents' Day, so we decided to go up to Wintergreen and do some snowboarding. We woke up Monday morning to the sound of people shoveling the sidewalks and knew it was going to be a great day. We had so much fun! Logan took a lesson, and Scott and I took turns going out with Mason. Mark and Amy were nice enough to let Scott and I go out together for an hour or so too. I wish we would have taken more pictures though....it was so nice up there. Maybe we'll have some better ones next time.

Trying out the Bumbo chair
I decided to get out the Bumbo chair (thanks, Grandma Weez and Papa D) the other day and just see how Claire would do in it. She's not quite three months old yet, so I didn't really think she'd be able to sit in it. To my surprise, she did pretty well. I think she's still a little too small for it, but I just had to snap some pictures.

To buzz...or not to buzz...
A few weeks ago, I was really sick of Brady's hair. It was so long and shaggy and he always had a fit when I tried to comb it. I literally had to chase him around the house with the squirt bottle and comb. To make a long story short, I decided to give him a haircut. I got it to a cute length and then decided (against my better judgement) to go just a little shorter. Well, a little shorter ended up being A LOT sorter. Oops. After a while, his hair started looking a little ratty again, so I decided to take him to a salon and have them even it up. The lady said she'd have to make it a little shorter to even it all out. I didn't think she'd go this short....oh, well. It's only hair, right? I'm actually getting used to it now, and I'm really enjoying not combing it everyday.

Pinewood Derby
Scott and the boys worked hard on their Pinewood Derby cars. Scott even made a car for Brady and Grandma to share. It was half Lightning McQueen and half pink with flowers. Mason and Logan designed and painted their own cars. Mason's took 2nd place in the cub scout division and Brady's/Grandma's took 2nd place in the primary division. Not bad for their first year.

First Smiles
Claire has been smiling quite a bit lately. We always try to catch it on camera, but are rarely successful. These are a few we've gotten recently. The one with the huge smile cracks me up.

Daddy (& Papa D's) Little Girl
I think baby girls bring out the softer side of dads and grandpas. We've had so much fun with little Claire.

A Baptism and a Blessing
Cub Scouts
We have officially entered the world of scouts! Mason is ecstatic and loves getting to wear his uniform every week. I have a feeling this is just the tip of the iceberg. Three boys equals a lot of scouting!

Mason's 8th Birthday
We celebrated Mason's birthday at the farm with the rest of the family. We were all out there for New Year's, so it worked out perfectly. On his actual birthday, we had our own little family celebration. Mason was so excited about his new bike!
